We are able to offer a full Health and Safety Executive approved First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Once qualified, holders of this certificate can be used as First Aiders in the Workplace in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Our HSE first aid at work training can be adapted to suit a particular audience i.e. clerical or engineering staff. The course is run over three days and includes both theory and practical sessions.
Content of HSE Emergency First Aid at Work Course:
On completion of our HSE first aid at work course, successful candidates should be able to:
- provide emergency first aid at work
- administer first aid to a casualty with:
- injuries to bones, muscles and joints, including suspected spinal injuries;
- chest injuries;
- burns and scalds;
- eye injuries;
- sudden poisoning;
- anaphylactic shock;
- recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid. (Including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma, and diabetes).
